If people around you are not noticing what you do, there’s a reason.
If your circles aren’t discussing about your skills, your efforts, your crusade or your vocation, there’s a ground.
The ground is that you’re mediocre.
Being mediocre equates to the fact that you’re less than excellent to inferior in quality. And the pity is that it’s not an accident, you’re mediocre by design. Well, most likely.
For example, consider the following:
- You have average service offering because that’s safer.
- You haven’t left your native small town because you think why to take risk where you can have an okay kind of 10:00am to 6:00pm job, three times a day food and once in a month picnic.
- In your world, the use of Masters Degree you took was just getting a decent job.
- Your cheese has been moved and you’re wondering who has moved it.
Now, that’s diametric of being excellent.
Being excellent comes at a cost. It takes an immense amount of time, resources and sweat. It also requires you to develop an ability to be comfortable with uncertainties. Sure, the cost you pay is high however that’s an investment that will bring great returns later.
Uncertainties are flower-flooded path available to you to travel the road less travelled and make the best of you.
What if you make embracing uncertainties a part of your normal learning process? Then, you will be able to tame the shrew called ‘change’, isn’t it?
