Do You Enjoy Eating Kurkure? Alas! (Or Hurray!) I Do :(

by Utpal Vaishnav on December 18, 2008

Just don’t eat it.

It contains high amount of plastic. Not convinced?

Burn the Kurkure! You’ll see the plastic melting.

Now convinced!?

Just don’t. This is what most of us have got from chain forwarded e-mails. I’d advice you to try it on your own.

Or trust Kurkure’s official website’s claim. Here’s what they say:

At the outset, we wish to assure you that there is no merit in any of the contentions you have seen in the chain mail.Kurkure is not only the safest product but is also a healthier snack. We would also like to inform you that Kurkure is made with Rice bran oil. Rice Bran Oil (RBO) is one of the healthier oils because it is naturally high in the good fats (MUFA and PUFA) and low in saturated fats. By cooking Frito Lay range of products in RICE BRAN oil, the saturated fat has been reduced by 40%. Saturates are the ones to watch out for, because too much saturated fat can contribute to increased blood cholesterol levels. The contents of the mail is, therefore, totally baseless.Do write to us if you wish to seek any further clarification in this regard. It would be our privilege to be of assistance to you.

Until then, Eat natural food. Fruits and Vegetable are the key to good health. Apart from taking care of your health, it takes care of your taste too!

Enjoy eating it.
