Make Best of It Before It Becomes Outmoded

by Utpal Vaishnav on September 23, 2009

first-computer-with-hddIt is a Hard Disk which could store 5 MB of data! On 13th September 1956, IBM unleashed the 305 RAMAC, the first computer with HDD – It weighted over a ton :D

RAMAC stood for “Random Access Method of Accounting and Control” The original 305 RAMAC computer system could be housed in a room of about 9m by 15m.

Someday, probably in 2060, somebody like me would present photo of our today’s computers or iPhones or Xbox 360s on their blog (or whatever technology they would be enjoying in those days) and wonder about how the days were in 2009! – Exactly like you’re wondering after seeing the above photo.

Point to understand here is that only “change” is constant – reality of one age would become outmoded in the next age.  And, it’s your responsibility to make best of the reality before it becomes obsolete – so whatever your realities are, enjoy it, laugh on it, learn from it, leave a legacy and move on.
