Dependable Project Manager is the face of the project. His role is to essentially lead the project and facilitate the team so that team can accomplish it with expectations exceeded and budget respected. He is accountable for the overall project success.
Here is what he does:
- Lead the project and provide direction to the team
- Act as a bridge between project sponsor and the team
- Create, get it approved and execute the Project Plan
- Send project status reports (PSR) to the clients
- Respond to the change requests (CR)
- Listen to and solve each team member’s problems; doesn’t matter if it is a personal one; it impacts.
- Organize brainstorming sessions and effective meetings with the team
- Get the positive testimonial on project closure
- Communicate lessons learned to all the concerned people.
